Bromide Technologies as part of
the EOH Group of companies, delivers an end-to-end service, ranging from
Information Technology (IT) and networking infrastructure to ERP and back-office
solutions. Each of the fifteen Business Units within the EOH Group companies
fulfills a crucial, complementary role in the overall service offering.
Resources such as finance and administration, logistics, technical skills and
sales are shared between the different entities, ensuring a single customer
interface across the group.
Bromide’s offering has grown
to the point where the company can analyse a customer's ICT requirements, scope,
source, supply and install hardware and software solutions, provide operator and
advanced training, and offer comprehensive maintenance of all related
infrastructure. Long-term customer relationships, in-depth knowledge of the
industry and a quality response to the immediate needs of clients form the core
of the Group's operating philosophy.
"It is not uncommon
for large corporations to outsource their entire IT division to us," says
Managing Director, Delfim Alves. "In fact, it is a trademark of many of our
large accounts that we started by supplying only one service. Because of our
"can do" attitude, clients soon begin to trust us with more and more of their
needs, until we provide a holistic ICT solution. In many cases, they ask us to
manage projects that do not fall entirely within our core business focus, simply
because they know that we deliver a quality service and that we thoroughly
analyse all relevant avenues before we embark on a
project."
A major contributing factor
to the organisation’s success can be attributed to a culture of on-going
education and training. With a staff turnover of less than 1 percent annually,
Bromide is continually investing in skills development. "We offer in excess of a
hundred training courses a year in terms of formal training, while we also
continuously invest in widespread skills development," Alves points
out. With Hewlett Packard products and services contributing
approximately 70 percent of revenue, Bromide is one of the top ten resellers on
the Hewlett Packard SA revenue list. "Everything we supply is locally sourced,
except for four niche data network security products provided by eSecure (a
division of Bromide), as there are no viable local alternatives for these
products," Alves points out. "We don’t export, but several of our clients have
overseas offices which fall within our service agreements and as such, we do
operate across borders.
